With the boom in sales of commercial 4x4 vehicles including the massively popular double-cab pick-ups it was time to take a detailed look at them. For the first time, in what will become an annual feature of the magazine, 12 4x4s - nine pick-ups and three vans - were thoroughly evaluated. One was crowned winner but all had plenty of plus points.
